Hello, my name is Katherine “Kat” McNair, the pet lover behind Katnip Acre Pet Sitting. I grew up in New Jersey near the Appalachian trail. I studied wildlife management in Alaska, then worked for the NJ Department of Fish and Game for 10 years.

In 1997, I relocated to Virginia and managed a small medical practice in Roanoke. I moved to Christiansburg in 2003 and started my pet sitting business in 2004. I now reside in Blacksburg and when not pet sitting, I enjoy bird watching, hiking and playing with my dog (Mollie) and 5 cats (Willie, Teddie, Josie, Spooky and Stitch).

I am currently attending National College in Salem to get nationally certified in Medical Coding and Billing.
